Annual Fundraising Updates

This is where you'll find our Annual updates from years past.

​​12/19 - 2019 was another great fundraising year, and we were able to supply all of our associated children's hospitals with hundreds of super hero costumes - which will hopefully help make those children's day to day lives (while hospitalized) a little brighter, and a little more fun. Once again, the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, in Edinburgh Scotland, was included in our donations. For the first time this year, Dustin held a fundraiser at University of St. Andrews, and was able to provide a substantial donation of costumes to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. We are very proud to be able to sustain our relationships with these hospitals, both here in the US and abroad, and to continue to provide some positivity and fun for those children who are hospitalized for long periods of time. We look forward to another successful year in 2020.

12/17- We have wrapped up our fundraising and delivery of costumes for 2017, and it turned out to be a great year! Once again, we supplied American Family Children's Hospital (Madison WI), Dell Children's (Austin TX), and Texas Children's (Houston TX) with bins full of superhero costumes! We donated a grand total of over 525 capes, masks, and costumes to those three hospitals! That makes 2017 our best year yet! We are hopeful that we will be adding a fourth US children's hospital, and maybe even an international location, next year. As ever, thank you so much to all of those who helped with fundraising, and to all of those who donated this year. We couldn't do it without you. Happy Holidays everybody! 

HEALING HEROES FUND

SOME OF LIFE'S BIGGEST BATTLES ARE BEING FOUGHT BY THE SMALLEST HEROES.

1/18 - We've received a very nice Thank You letter from Dell Children's Hospital regarding our donation this year (December, 2017).  We always enjoy hearing about how our costumes help, and we look forward to another successful drive next year!​

11/18 - We have wrapped up our fundraising in Texas and Wisconsin for 2018, and it has been a good year! We delivered 100 costumes to Dell Children's Hosptial alone! The count is still out in Wisconsin, but we hear it went very well! We are also very happy to announce that this year will be the inaugural donation to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, in Edinburgh Scotland. Our little charity has gone international! Very exciting! The fundraising is still going on over there, so there are no final figures yet; but we are very proud of our founder, Dustin Mitcham, for making this happen!

11/15 - This year has been a big year for us! We were awarded our 501 (c)(3) Non-profit status with the State of Texas, which allows us to now accept monetary donations in addition to costume donations. In light of that fact, we collected enough to donate over 100 superhero costumes to both Dell Children's in Austin, and Texas Children's in Houston! We are so grateful to all of those who donated, and we look forward to continuing to grow this charity in the coming years.  

11/16 - We are very happy to report that 2016 was another great year for Healing Heroes Fund! We were able to bring another hospital into the fold, and this time in another state! We donated over 50 costumes to American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin this year. A big thank you to Cheryl Hoffman for helping to coordinate our drive and collection efforts in the Madison area. We couldn't have done it without you! We look forward to another successful drive in 2017.  Thanks again to everyone for their generous donations to this charity.   It means a lot to me, and I know that recipient hospitals (and kiddos!) appreciate it as well. 

11/14 - This is why we do it...the SMILES!  It has been our pleasure, and we are looking forward to returning with even more costumes in 2015!
